Politics, Foreign Policy, Current Events and Occasional Outbursts Lacking Couth

For anyone interested in Ethics or the subject of Evil then Ask Metafilter has a post right up your alley. The questioner would like first hand accounts of acts of genuine evil. The posters then provide a number of interesting books and documentaries.

Fascinating bit of commentary there. Evil as a term is one thing but in reality it's rather subjective. For instance, Osama Bin Laden has been likened to the worst kind of evil on countless occasions. And yet many in the Islamic sphere of thought see him otherwise.
Maybe we could break "evil" into two components. Social Evil and Biological Evil. Social Evil speaks for itself, Biological Evil might include events or actions that run contradictory to natural (as opposed to social) norms. Cannibalism, infanticide, genocide, enforced ethnic homogeny, etc.

Great food for thought!
