And I thought the whole mess would never end.
As a contrast, the person who SHOULD be our President (if the Democrats and Republicans hadn't spoiled the election) is actually DOING something. Cynthia McKinney is courageously taking part in a shipment of medical aid that will break through the siege of Gaza. She is onboard a ship leaving from Cyprus on a mission organized by Free Gaza, a group that has successfully defied the siege several times in the last five months.(Link)
Damn those pesky Democrats and Republicans for ruining a perfectly good election. Good news is Cynthia will be breaking through the Gaza siege shortly. Other good news is those Democrats and Republicans did "spoil" the election and so the horrifying prospect of a McKinney Presidency remains just that. A horrifying prospect.

That's as good defense of any that I've heard for the two party system. Reminds me of a discussion I was having with a friend about concealed carry and how Iowa's laws are stupid in restricting the right of out of state residents to carry. My friend brought up a mutual friend who neither of us trusts with a firearm but who would be able to carry if Iowa changed their laws. For every me (or Libertarian candidate, in this case) complaining about the status quo there's a person like our mutual friend (or McKinney) who makes the status quo look not so bad.
I'm sure she'll slap her way through like she did going to work on the Hill.
That photo really captures the crazy about her.
