OMFG. Didn't know till I saw this, then Googled.

I liked his exuberance and his daring-do, although sometimes they got the better of him.

Yeah. In an age when Lewis Black, Steven Colbert and John Stewart rank as political analysts his show was always a level headed alternative. Easy going but sharp. And having heard many of his countless appearances on Imus, I'd come to like the guy. Sad.
