A bon fire with no logs? A bunch of stripes with no tiger? A puddle of gyoza sauce without a steamed, pork stuffed dumpling? Which reminds me, isn't dumpling a somewhat grotesque and unsanitary sounding word? Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of dumplings, from a wide range of culinary origins be it Japan or Ma's cooking. But the word "dumpling." If a landfill is also known as a dump, shouldn't we reserve "dumpling" for a garbage can or maybe a particularly filthy efficiency apartment?
